January 13, 2020. – “A weeklong summer vacation for Two in St. Anton am Arlberg!” This “Special Award” was presented to Italian skier Federica Brignone after she won the Alpine Combined in Zauchensee on Sunday. The prize was given to her by Veronika Scheffer (Head of the Zauchensee World Cup Organizing Committee), Peter Mall (Head of the Arlberg Kandahar Race Organizing Committee in St. Anton am Arlberg) and Downhill World Champion Michael Walchhofer (President of the Zauchensee World Cup Organizing Committee).

This award kicks-off the collaboration between the two Austrian hosts of women’s speed events. From 2020 onwards, the “Audi FIS Ski World Cup Tour” will stop alternately in St. Anton am Arlberg and Altenmarkt/Zauchensee each January.

This summer, Federica Brignone is invited to spend a one-week vacation in St. Anton am Arlberg. Hopefully, she will be able to carry her momentum from 2019-20 onto the slopes of the upcoming World Cup season. And the overall winner of the 2021 Arlberg Kandahar Races in January will win a summer getaway to Zauchensee!
